Normal Facial

A normal or classic facial is a traditional, multi-step skincare treatment that focuses on cleansing, nourishing, and rejuvenating the skin without the use of specialized electrical devices like a galvanic machine. It's a foundational treatment suitable for all skin types and is often used for general skin maintenance and relaxation.

A typical normal facial includes these core steps:

  1. Cleansing: The skin is thoroughly cleansed to remove makeup, dirt, and oil.
  2. Skin Analysis: The aesthetician examines the skin to identify specific concerns like dryness, oiliness, or congestion.
  3. Exfoliation: A scrub, enzyme, or other exfoliant is used to gently remove dead skin cells and promote cell turnover.
  4. Steaming: Warm steam is applied to the face to open up pores and soften impurities, preparing the skin for extractions.
  5. Extractions: The aesthetician manually and carefully removes blackheads and whiteheads from the pores.
  6. Massage: A facial massage is performed to improve blood circulation, stimulate lymphatic drainage, and relieve tension in the facial muscles. This is a key difference from a quick "cleanup."
  7. Mask: A customized mask is applied to address specific skin needs, such as hydration, calming, or clarifying.
  8. Toning and Moisturizing: Finally, a toner, serum, and moisturizer are applied to balance the skin's pH, protect it, and lock in moisture.

Unlike treatments that use galvanic currents to push products deeper, a normal facial relies on the skill of the aesthetician and the quality of the products to achieve its results, which include a cleaner, smoother, and more radiant complexion.
